Wondering about wild grapes

Wandered home and got busy.

First off, I have been corrected. In my answer to Frann’s question if the honeysuckle is blooming, I told her it had already done so. (Which it had) Now, my wife tells me that it blooms most of the summer. OK, got that out of the way.

When I got home yesterday, I checked my blog on my main computer and low and behold, I could not see the “lips” on that tree that I took the picture of. It was too dark. Funny, I could see it OK on the laptop. So, I decided to lighten it up a bit. I lightened up the first one (see below) and decided to go a little further (see second one below). Maybe you can make out the “lips” better with these pictures:

Yesterday, before I left the State Park, I checked my email and there was one from my favorite customer asking me to call him, which I did. He has a job for me. I told him I would not be home until that afternoon, so he said to call Friday morning. I have been on the phone with him for the last hour going over the new job and talking about fishing and the NHRA drag races coming up this Sunday. I gave him two tickets for the two seats in front of mine. He used my tickets before with his grandson and this year he wanted to bring his wife. I like this fellow a lot and it is always great to have him with me at an event that I love so much, as does he. By the way, I will not post a blog this coming Sunday since I will be leaving the house very early. There, you have been fore-warned. You will not have to worry about me, I will be having fun. Trouble is, they have put a chance of rain in the forecast. If it rains, I hope it does at my house, not at the drag strip.

Until I get this new job done, I will be keeping my blogs fairly short. May even skip a day or two, but I will warn you. I learned my lesson the last time I skipped two days and got in trouble with you all. You all have a great weekend, I’m going to. Work on Saturday and play on Sunday at the drag strip watching and feeling those 8000 hp cars!! You know, the ones that go 330 mph in 3.8 seconds within 1000 feet.

  4. Ben, Sorry I didn't have that picture right to begin with but am not use to the laptop. It must look different on that screen than on my CRT one.

Trouble, glad you liked the tree. BTW, if you think the "funny cars" were fast back then, you ought to see them now. 8000 hp at 300 plus miles per hour. WOW

Jane, Yep Jane, I could almost hear it calling me. (grin). I am always busy, but try to only do what I like to do. I like the work that I have been doing most of my life. When I only do it once in a while now, it is more fun than ever.
