I finished
up watching a three part series on the History Channel called The Hatfields and
McCoys. All I can say is WOW!!! Since it was a true story, it hit home even
harder. This was a gruesome, violent
movie with lots of realistic action and blood and gore. (Not Al Gore)
My wife couldn’t bear to watch it.
It was almost like the Civil War but only between West Virginia and
Kentucky. It was well done with great
acting. Kevin Costner played the head of
the Hatfield clan. I must admit he did a
great job, as did all the actors. It was
by far the best movie I have ever seen on TV.
I highly recommend it. If it ever
comes back on, you all should watch it.

Didn't realize i had missed it, glad you brought it up. I'm gonna record it Sat, all 3 of them. Got a BIG note,,lol. They start at 5 pm, end at 11:01,,gotta get that 01 for sure!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is important to watch them in order. Let me know what you think. Warning, a lot of blood and guts.
DeleteSure would like to see that .. maybe netflix will put it up on their site or maybe one of the national channels will play the rerun of it someday.
ReplyDeleteOnce in a while the History Channel remembers they are supposed to be about History. When they do that, they do a good job. Sometimes it's like they are the Ancient Aliens Channel.
ReplyDeleteThey get some history in once in awhile.
DeleteAgree with that.
DeleteUPDATE,, I was able to find it as streaming video on the History Channel online. BUT I had to use IE to play it. And was able to stream it to my large screen .. Watched part one and now I got something to watch after supper.( pt 2&3) . Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteBen, OK, so I guess you can ignore my reply to you above. Tell me, what do you think of it so far?
DeleteAbout 30 years ago, I was talking to a friend about western Pennsylvannia and he said, "oh you mean Pennsytucky". I thought he made up the term since that was sort of a hobby of his. Your mention of it was only the 2nd time I heard it. Was it mentioned in the movie?
