Just about three miles from my place there is a vehicle parked at the end of a building. It looked like it was originally a school bus but it has been re-purposed into. . . into a . . . I am not sure what it is suppose to be. It sort of looks like it is half RV and half flat bed truck.
Since it is sitting beside a church, maybe it is used for hay rides??? It looks to have a lot of enclosed space in the front. Room for a driver and if the seats were still in it, three rows of seats. If the seats were removed there is plenty of room for bunks or what ever. This vehicle has a lot of possibilities. You could carry almost anything on the back including another vehicle. Just thought that you would like to see a picture of this unique vehicle. Now, have a great day today, you hear.
I've seen this type of conversion before. Usually they carry things like show cars in the back. They travel around the country going to events. Also seen them full of motorcycles. Usually they leave enough living space in the front to avoid hotel expenses.
ReplyDeleteOne guy in New England would load up bikers and their bikes and drive down to the Datona event. Very popular when our roads here are still covered in snow and slush.
Don't know why a church would have it. Maybe some one got permission to park it there.
DeleteA new one for me.
ReplyDeleteYep, most of the conversions I've seen like that was like Sixbears says "a car hauler". Running a classic car site I see conversions like that made for just that. Sleeping accommodations in front and a classic car on back. Not sure why a church would wind up with one, but I'd bet they bought it that way.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting, indeed! First one I've seen!
ReplyDeleteTrouble, David, & H.J., you are probably right. I have never seen it used, so do not know for sure.
DeleteThat would be good for a traveling Bluegrass band. Remember the Darling Family? "Get on the truck, boys".
ReplyDeleteJimkabob, it sure would and I sure do remember the Darlings. We have been watching reruns of that old TV show.
DeleteI love seeing that sort of creativity in vehicles/RV's/trucks.
ReplyDeleteJill, it is refreshing to see what people can up with, especially when re-purposing vehicles.
DeleteI agree with jimkabob, band members ride up front, stage in the back.
ReplyDeleteJill, yep, it would make a great band buss.
