Beauty Along the Way

Today was trash pick-up day so I carried the garbage cans down to the road.  When I was walking back, I noticed a lot of beauty along the way.  This beauty was in the form of wild flowers, bird feathers, and fungus.  The first two pictures are of pretty purple and white flowers.  I posted pictures of the same kind of flowers before.

This next one is of one like I showed above along side lacy reddish-purple flowers:

I tried to get a closer picture of the lacy flowers, but the camera didn't focus correctly on them:

Then I noticed a feather laying there being supported off the ground by a leaf and some grass:

And I a little further on there was another similar feather:

And of course there was fungus and this one was very colorful:

Well, that was my walk on the driveway back to the house this morning.  I am glad you could come with me and enjoy the sights that Mother Nature puts there for us all to see.  Now, have a great day, you hear?

    1. Your welcome. I would take you for a walk around my property but it is just way too hot and humid here for that now.

  2. I love your outlook, Dizzy! You find beauty in the most mundane objects, like a discarded feather - we should all be more appreciative of what Mother Nature provides, and take time to examine the fungus!
And oh, I discovered what your big road block objects probably were - parts for generators! Hubby used to schedule major big-time heavy haul loads, and that's what he says they most likely were - the electrical cabinets for massive generators. Problem solved - have a great day ~

    1. That is what I figured but all the other ones I have seen moving through here were not wrapped up like these. I designed huge generator enclosures back when I was working and know they come in many different shapes and sizes.

  3. I liked going on that walk with you... it sounds like your 5 minute walk takes about a half hour... just like it would for me.

    1. Yep, you got it. One has to take time to smell the roses. . . or the wild flowers or the fungus or. . . .

    1. I like all the different types, sizes, shapes, and colors of fungus. Had a couple of books on the subject.
