Wondering how dry it is and a sells technique.

How dry is it here?  Well, it is so dry, even the weeds are wilting!!  Don't believe me?  Well take a look for yourself:

I took a walk around the place after supper last evening.  So many things were wilting and some dying.  The swamp still has water in it but not very much.  I saw one turtle and a great blue heron flew off when I approached part of the swamp from the woods.  No, I wasn't quick enough to get pictures of either of them.
Last week we were in Wal-Mart and we started off browsing the book section.  I noticed two books side by side and thought to myself that they were using a great marketing plan.  Here is a picture I took of the two books:

You see, the first book you come to tells you how to be a zombie.  So, I would imagine, a lot of wanna be zombies have bought that book and now there are a lot more zombies running around the neighborhood than there use to be.  So, they put The Zombie Survival Guide right next to it to help all us non zombies stay human and alive.  Now tell me, don't you think that is a great marketing technique?  By the way, I didn't purchase either.  Now, try not to wilt or become a zombie or both and have yourselves a really great day today, you hear?

  1. What we do for entertainment! No zombies here that I know of but the "grass" is so dry it crunches under your feet as you walk. Good thing is that there are plenty of water troughs, bird baths and artificial watering spots around this place to keep the birds and other wildlife from dehydrating.

  2. I missed yesterday's post again....Yeah, everybody has those bugs,,but when I see a roach, i'm calling the bug man...lol.
We keep having these little sprinkles of rain, not even enough to wet much.

  3. Did you see the zombie photo in my blog post yesterday? I think from some people I've talked to, the line between reality and fantasy is blurred when it comes to zombie stuff. The government's CDC website even has a section on how to prepare for a zombie apocalypse. Ridiculous.

  4. The Odd Essay, I will not be cutting grass for awhile, just walk on it and it breaks off (grin). You all should be getting rain today, right?

Trouble, feel free to send those little sprinkles my way.

Jill, yes I saw it, that is why I posted what I did today. Hope you don't mind me stealing your thunder, no, I mean zombie. Some days I feel like a zombie.

  5. I don't care much for all the zonbie books & stories. I'd rather read about something real, like fairies.

  6. We have no grass here at mother's just weeds and them pesky mesquite trees who shed tons of pods :(

  7. Gypsy, and don't forget about the troll under the bridge and the sand man and . . .

MsB, I guess you don't have much grss to cut, just rake up the pods.
