I had a few errands to do in town yesterday and my wife decided to go along and shop at her favorite store while I did my running around. So I dropped her off and went off and completed my errands. I returned to the store and went in and located her. Of course she was not done looking so I tagged along for awhile. When we got to the northwest corner of the store, I thought that we had been fast forwarded in time to just before Christmas. This whole corner was filled with Christmas stuff from top to bottom. I just couldn't believe it. Blinked a few times but it was still there. Dang, I had to verify this with a picture so I reached in my pocket, pulled out my camera, and took three pictures. Here is the first one:
That is my wife in the picture. As you can see, the Christmas stuff seemed to go on and on. I walked straight ahead to the end of the aisle and snapped another picture looking to the right:
Then I took another one looking on down the same direction I walked from the first picture but moved over at the end of the aisle and took the last picture looking down past the Christmas trees.
The Christmas tree was originally the Yule tree from a pagan religion and a King of ancient times decided to combine the Christian celebration with the pagan one and that is how the so called "Christmas Tree" was born. I just think it is way too early to start displaying all the Christmas stuff. But, it did seem to work. It cooled things off a little. Must have been a front come through last night because early this morning it was 68 degrees and is only suppose to get to the mid 90's today. I can take that. So "Merry Christmas" and have a great day now, you hear?
