Wondering about wild grapes

Wandering about some more flowers.

My wife and I went to our skin doctor for our yearly check-up.  This time we both checked out just fine with nothing that absolutely needed removed.  Then I opened my big mouth!!  Told him that I had this mole in the middle of my back that bothered me and that it would get irritated if I leaned back against the back of chair.  I asked if he could remove it, and he did.  He first cut it out with a scalper to get a sample for a biopsy and then burnt out what was left.  That did not smell too good.  And yes, he deadened the area before he started cutting.

Outside the building where his office is located, there were was some nice landscaping and pretty flowers.  I thought that you would enjoy seeing them:

And a cropped view:

Later, I walked up my driveway and took a couple of pictures.  I have shown you other pictures of this variety of wild flower, but they are pretty so I took another picture.  They were blowing in the wind so the picture is a little blurry:

Also discovered that the tent worms were moving in.  If they don't move on, I may have to evict them by force.  Those webs are quite flamable you know:

Hope you enjoyed going with me to the doc's and walking up my driveway.  Take a walk today and see all the beauty around you and have a great day, you hear?

  2. Well, when are we leaving on our trip? A long one!
    No more excuses,,,hehehe.
We burned out those worms too. Fast and thorough. And no harm to the trees.

  3. Jill, tell her that. . .

Trouble, it is too hot to go anywhere. Why go far away just to sit in the AC when I can do that at home? After it cools off some.

  4. Always loved Crape Myrtles. I used to have about five different colors of them in my yard in Houston.

  5. Better to have it cut out now while it's just an inconvenience than have a major problem later. Those crape myrtles are beautiful! We're seeing a lot of them in bloom in this area... in fact, Stephenville got some big grant to use to beautify their city... now there are all colors of those trees along every street. Very Nice!

  6. Barney, they grow wild around here. Do they spread from tame gardents or do they naturally grow wild in this area?

The Odd Essay, you are right. The cancer along the side of nose was not so simple when I had that cut out last year. There is a lot of beauty out there, you just have to look for it.

  7. I love crape myrtles. Have several in my home in Houston and they grow wild in my yard. I guess they are the beautiful equivalent of those pesky mesquite that grow like wildfire in West Texas.

If mom had them instead of those mesquite...I would be a happy camper :)
