Wondering about a subject to write about.

I am moving really slow this morning; not just physically but mentally.  Just couldn’t seem to get myself up out of bed and moving.  Still moving slow.  I guess that all the gloomy, rainy days we have been experiencing in this area has got me down.  Sort of like the short, dark days of winter when I lived in Pennsylvania.  But then, if it snowed, it would brighten up things.  I don’t really expect any snow here and maybe it is a good thing because about ten inches of snow is equal to one inch of rain.  With all the rain East Texas has been having it would burry us in many, many feet of snow, and believe me, the buildings down here couldn’t stand all that weight.  Rain runs off roofs but snow does not always do so.  It seems that we are at this moment having a break in the rain.  The radar shows a lot of smaller rain cells moving through the area instead of a front or line of storms.  With a lot of smaller rain cells, there is a chance that they will miss us, but they are like a shotgun pattern, the chance of getting hit with one of them is still quite high.  Even with the showers around the area, we will still head on down to the flea market and look around.  All the outside tables are under roof and unless it is really raining hard or high winds with blowing rain, there should be some vendors set up.  Of course we could always go inside the main building, which we haven’t done for quite some time.  OK, let go and get ready to head out.  Got a couple of things to get done first and will be heading out in a half hour or less.  And of course, there is always tomorrow.  Now you have a great day and keep your powder dry, you hear?

  1. Go and have a good time. I love garage, estate sales. Don't go much, don't need anything.

  2. Trouble, it rained some but we had a good time. I got a "Redneck Horn". You press the button and it lets them know what you are thinking. Some of its comments are a little on the nasty side, but I am getting a kick out of it. Of course, the other driver can't hear it.

  3. Thought I'd have a slow day today, but people's emergencies kept me busy all morning. Didn't even have so much as a coffee until lunch.

  4. I hope the "emergencies" were nothing serious or severe and that all involved are OK.

  5. I like Flea Markets, you can find all sorts of stuff there. I have to stay away from them now, I filled our house up from my "Good Deals" I found at them. Now I need to have me a sale.

  6. Jim, just rent a table or two or three at a flea market and sell some of it. We did that one weekend. We loaded the motor-home up with everything that would fit and pulled in early on a Saturday morning and came home Monday morning with everything sold. Of course we put real low prices on everything. Got rid of a lot of stuff we didn't use and was just taking up space and made some fuel money for a trip.
