I pulled over at one of the few places that I could stop, got out, and took this picture. These are some really scenic roads.
This is in front of our RV at the camp site that we had at the park. My wife and our three mutts with mountains in the background.
I enjoyed sitting out outside looking at the beauty around me and for any wildlife that may wonder by. I noticed that the moon was out in the daytime and the sky is so clear it was plainly visible:
This was taken from next to our RV looking in the direction we were parked:
I walked a little ways up the hill and took a picture back at our camp site. Ours is the unit in the middle in front of the white fifth-wheel.
That is all for tonight. I am now back at an RV park in Junction. Tomorrow, if all goes well, we will be back home. Now, you all have a great night, you hear?
Remember that this is one of the parks ravaged by wildfires a bit over a year ago.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you traveled in some really pretty country!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had an enjoyable trip with the possibility of a return trip?
ReplyDeleteYou are making me want to 'hurry back to Texas'. I love the Davis mountain area. That's where I learned to swim.
ReplyDeleteBarney, there are still some signs of it. A few charred trees and stumps. Other than that, you would have never known that there was a fire. Sometimes, fires are good for a system.
ReplyDeleteHJ, it sure was!!
MsB, You bet you I will go back. My wife even felt better there.
michael ultra, had my Ovation with me just in case you showed up (grin).
How close do you get to Llano on your way back?
ReplyDeleteWhen I got up today, it started raining. Have a safe trip home.
Glad the trip wasn't all about repairs in exotic locations.
ReplyDeleteThe ice just left the lake last night. I feel that spring might come here after all.
All the best!
That looks like some beautiful country there, and I'm glad to hear you've been enjoying yourselves.
ReplyDeleteTrouble, I haven't seen rain since way before I left for this trip. We had beautiful weather. Didn't see any signs to Llano, but went through the south side of Austin.
ReplyDeleteSixbears, In case you were missing one of your six bears, he was outside my camper the other night.
Jill, I felt great and my wife's arthritis pain was gone while we were there.
Wow! The moon is pretty big at daytime. Cool photos, though. :) Anyway, the place is a very suitable camping location. Wonder what would it be like staying there for at least 2-3 days. Please share more tips and info about RV camping. Will definitely look forward to it.
