Wondering about wild grapes

Wandering back through my old blogs.

I was wandering back though my old blog postings this morning and stopped to reread my post made back in August of 2010.  It was about some of the things I experienced when I first moved to Texas.  I still laugh at the experience even to this day.  Since I don't have anything fascinating to write about this morning, I thought maybe you would enjoy reading (or rereading) about a funny thing that happened to me one night a few years after I moved to Texas.  Just click on the following link and it should take you there:

That was a night that I will never forget.  I actually enjoyed it, it got my heart beating for sure.  Now, you all have a safe, comfortable, and wonderful day, you hear?

  1. I'm so glad you posted the link to that post because I don't remember reading it before. I may have been on the road and not able to read all the blogs. What an experience! I think the best is the coyote - I would give anything to see one up that close, but of course it would probably scare the hell outta me too.

    1. That was one interesting night, for sure. Wouldn't mind having a few more like that. I love being outdoors and watching animals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish.

  3. I wish you'd had a game camera aimed at all THAT action! Wouldn't you love to have seen the expression on your face.. or watch you duck away from that owl? By the way... are feral hogs good to eat? There are a lot of them around our daughter's place in Glen Rose, and I know they are hunted as they are an awful nuisance... but do you eat them?

    1. Why sure you can eat feral hogs, unless you are Jewish. Yes, I sure would like to have a video of that few seconds in my history.

    2. I should explain that feral hogs around here were originally tame farm animals that got loose and after years of reproducing in the wild, their snouts got longer than their tame cousins. They, therefore, call them "Piney Woods Rooters".

Not sure when you first commented, but it wasn't on the first one. Hermit Jim, MsBelinda, Kathie, and of course ole Ben who got me started in the first place.
