And another :
We are expecting a bad to severe storm to blow through here in a couple of hours. It is quite warm this morning, just under 70 degrees and when this stormy cool front collides with this warm 99 percent humid air near the Gulf, it is suppose to produce some strong thunderstorms and a chance for a tornado or two. It is very cloudy and windy right now with on and off again light showers.
In fact, the wind has brought down some of the Jessamine flowers:
We will just wait and see what the front does produce. A lot of the times it never gets as bad as predicted, but on the other hand, sometimes it gets worse than predicted. Now, I hope your day will be bright and sunny. Even if it isn't, just have yourself a great day, you hear?
Well, our "predicted" never showed up. Light rain is all we got.
ReplyDeleteLove that Jasmine, and I had some too, but it died. All my vines died. Well, I still have one, that Queen's Wreath, because it is so hardy.
I had to google Jessamine/Jasmine to find out more about it. Don't think it grows wild in Ohio (where I lived most of my life)... It looks beautiful, but I wonder just how strong the scent is? The family who has the B&B puts "scent" in the rooms... put jasmine in our room and darned near clogged my sinuses! Nice in a way... but a little sure goes a LONG way!
ReplyDeleteTrouble, these are wild flowering vines and the ones I took the picture of are next to the house. There are a lot better examples of them but I didn't want to walk that far (grin).
ReplyDeleteThe Odd Essay, since I have been on oxygen at night when I sleep, it seems to have burned out some of my sense of smell. They do have a very pleasant smell. I believe they are only native to the south.
When are you going to go adventuring in your new RV DD?
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any of these in a long time! I had forgotten about them.
ReplyDeleteTFT, I wanted to leave but a medical problem popped up and I will have to wait and see what the hematologist says (appointment in less than two weeks) and if I have to do anything else.
ReplyDeleteHJ, they are pretty and I know summer is here or near when I see them everywhere. They are really thick on my place.
keep safe! so nice to see flowers, forgot all about them. Snow and ice on the way here. Our winter is not coming to an end anytime soon.
ReplyDeleteThis time of the year we never know what the weather is going to be like. One day could be hot and the next cold. At least it isn't boring, like in the summer.
