How About a Poem?

I want to rhyme the words in today's post.
Using easy words that we use the most.

That may not be an easy thing to do.
There's more words than animals in a zoo.

But I will try to do my very best.
Without my getting all worked up and stressed.

Just occurred to me that it could be done.
So I think I will keep on, just for fun.

I have written poems back in the past.
I had so much fun, it was quite a blast.

So thought I would try it again today.
No, it's not because I had things to say.

Couldn't come up with anything better.
But I am not going to be the regretter.

So I am coming to the very end.
I promise that this will not be a trend.

I will get back to my old posting ways.
Maybe tomorrow or in a few days.

Rhyming is the easiest part to do.
It's the rhythm that makes it work for you.

So I will end this with just this to say,
I want you to have a very good day.

  1. Thanks for this post, it made my day.
And that is all I have to say.

    1. Your a poet
      and don't know it. (grin)

      Glad I made your day.

  2. I like your poem Dizzy. It's plain, it's simple, and it's easy for me to understand. Being a bit of a poemster myself every once in a long while I appreciate reading something light and breezy, Good stuff. Makes me happy:))

    1. I had an aunt that became bedridden the last few years of her life and I would make cards, write poems in them, and send them to her. It gave her something to look forward to every day and I hoped it would keep her going for a bit longer.

  3. WOW that poem made me all giddy! or was that the 420 miles of towing today?

  4. well that was different I enjoyed it

    1. Thanks JO, I wanted to do something different and I am glad you enjoyed it.

  5. Very good rhyming in the poem. You have a flair for it.

    1. I am not that good but I do like writing poetry.

  6. Your poems remind me of my dad. He used to write poems now and then.
