A line of thunderstorms rolled through here early this morning. It is now 06:00 and the storm is only a memory, although I can still hear some thunder off to the east. There is another storm on its way, but it looks like the worst of it will pass to the north of us. This next storm reaches from here in Cut and Shoot, TX the whole way up to Wichita with only one break in the front north of Oklahoma City.
I think that I will leave this blog with a joke I found at:
A completely inebriated man was stumbling down the street with one foot on the curb and one foot in the gutter. A cop pulled up and said, "I've got to take you in, pal. You're obviously drunk."
Our wasted friend asked, "Officer, are ya absolutely sure I'm drunk?"
Our wasted friend asked, "Officer, are ya absolutely sure I'm drunk?"
"Yeah, buddy, I'm sure," said the copper. "Let's go."
Breathing a sigh of relief, the wino said, "Thank goodness, I thought I was crippled."
Now, you all have a great day, you hear?
Missed? Of course you were but blogging is work & vacations are good!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're back at it.
Since I am retired, every day is a vacation unless my wife puts me to work.
DeleteHappy New Year and thanks for the laugh.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy laughing and want to share my laughs. Glad you got a laugh out of it.
DeleteEveryone needs a day off once in a while. buddy!
ReplyDeleteI published my first blog on 7-16-10, so I am rather new at this, but have missed very few days. Sometimes, though, I just don't have anything to say.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! It's been a busy holiday season for me so I've missed a few days myself.
ReplyDeleteYes, I noticed. I don't always comment on your blog but I do read it every time it is published.
DeleteOf course we missed you. But you sure came up with a funny story for when you finally decided to blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gypsy, you have no idea how many funny stories I read before picking these.
DeleteHappy New Year! Weird for me to hear about thunderstorms in winter! We got a couple feet of snow up here. Thanks for the laugh.
ReplyDeleteWe have even had above normal temperatures. That may have triggered the storms when a cool front moved in and hit this warm humid air near the Texas Gulf coast. The first 30 some years of my life I lived in western Pennsylvania, so I know about the cold and snow.
DeleteNice to see you back, Dizzy. You were missed ~
ReplyDeleteThanks Baby Sis.
