The heartbreak in Moore, OK.

It is unimaginable what a tornado that size can do!!  The destruction and death and injury was terrible!!  My heart breaks for those who lost love ones.  A school and a medical center was hit hard.  That means children and old people seemed to be targeted.  I have been in and near a few tornadoes, but none of them were as huge as the monster that hit Moore, OK.

I have heard that at least twenty children were killed when the tornado hit the school.  Loosing anyone you love is hard to take but loosing a child is the hardest.  I know, I lost a son in an highway accident.  Let us all pray for the survivers that they will have the strength to get through this nightmare.  I know it is hard after what happened, but you all try to have a good day, you hear?

  1. Just heard the 51 is down to 24. Hate that too, but better than the other.

  2. I much prefer the death count to go down instead of up. How the heck did they get it so wrong in the fîrst place?

  3. I've been listening to this incident on the TV news. Unbelievable what damage a tornado can do and my heartfelt prayers go out to all those who were affected by this, and to those who lost loved ones.

It's amazing how ones life can be completely changed within 24 hours. I can't even imagine waking up in the morning and by the evening you have absolutely nothing. No home, no car, no hospital, no school - nothing left. I have no doubt that the community will get together to help and assist one another.

    1. It was terrible for sure. It just goes to show you that we only have right now. We can plan for the future but they are only plans. Right now is the only reality that we have, so make the best of it.

  4. I've had some near misses in my travels. The destruction is incredible -just rubbed out. I am glad to see the death toll has gone down some.

More potential for storms on the way. No time to relax.

  6. Good sir, your own reflective pain is poignant. We have seen the devastation on our screens in Britain. My thoughts are with those who have survived the horror of such an ordeal and those who have lost loved ones.

  7. Sixbears, I have had near misses, too, and some direct hits. Lost brand new car (was signing the papers when the tornado hit) and I lost my first RV, a pop-up tent camper that got flipped end for end and with each flip, a side came off. I don't like them at all. I heard one go by here a couple of years ago, but it missed me.

klahanie, my heart breaks for them. Some lost everything including loved ones.
