Had a good day today. Started out by going to the Flea Market and walking all through the outside (under roof) tables and then going inside and going all through it. I got to talk to a lot of old friends and you know, I didn't purchase anything. Then I came home and took a walk around my place and when I passed my daughter-in-law's goat pens, I reached over and scratched their heads. You know, they repaid me by taking a bite out of my beard and believe it or not, they ate it. I guess they thought that I needed a little trimming.
I am having trouble with my charger for this lap top, so am going keep this short and say good night for now. Have a great night, you hear?

My Back Yard.
My son is back up on the Northshore of Alaska. He can download to his phone pictures from some of his game cameras that he has placed around our place. He called and we talked about a lot of things. He told me about seeing a couple of Coyotes on the camera just behind my fenced in back yard.
He then sent me an email with the picture attached. So, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words:
Sorry, they were not polite enough to turn around and smile at the camera. Anyway, you can see them walking away and that is at the edge of my pond. Since my son has a small farm on the back of my place with chickens, rabbits, ducks, goats, etc., I assume that his animals were what attracted them, or maybe not. I am sure coyotes have been around here a lot longer than I have. Now, you all have a great day, you hear?

Just Had a Great Time.
My son called me and told me to take walk down to his place that my grandson, his wife, and their son were there for a visit. It sure didn't take me long to get my rear down there. My son built a big bon fire and we all sat around talking and telling our experiences. My grandson got back from Africa and has some time off. My son is on his "off" time from working at the Northshore of Alaska. Everyone, including me, had a good time. It is wonderful to be able to visit family. It worked out this time that both of them were home at the same time. I would call it a good day today.

A Walk Around the Property.
My son came up to see me today and said that I should walk around the property with him as he checks all his game cameras. I thought that was a great idea and away we went.
He had an adapter so he could pull out the chip in the cameras, put it in the adapter that was connected to his phone and look at and/or download the pictures. There was quite a few pictures, mostly of squirrels and rabbits and coons and possums, deer, ducks, and of course the one next to the drive way had a picture of me taking the garbage out to the dumpster.
In the past he has even got pictures of intruders, either walking or driving in. It is a good feeling to know that there are friendly eyes watching all over my property. He also has newer, more expensive cameras that transmit the images to his phone on command. I feel a lot safer now and also glad to see the wild life is still thriving on my place. Come see me and I will take you for a walk around the place. Now, you all have a great day, you hear?

To Make Matters Worse
My old mother always said that nothing is so bad that it can't get worse. You know, she was right. Our oldest dog, who was my wife's dog, is not doing too well. My wife picked him out of a litter and he sat beside her in her chair until my wife passed away. He sure does miss her. When I come in the house, he goes to the door waiting for her.
Last night, he had a lot of trouble. First, his breathing was labbored and it sounded like he was snorting. Then he screamed and had a sisure. He fell over on his side and shook. So, the first thing this morning I called the vetinerian's office and they said bring him in for a 10:30 am appointment today. I thanked them for getting me in right away. Of course, he was his old self at the vet's. So, they had to take my word for what happened. Said they could do lots of expensive tests, but if I agreed, they would just put him on Prednisilone. I am to start out with one tabblet daily for seven days, then one half tablet a day for seven days, then a half of a tablet every other day for two weeks, then a half tablet every three days for long term maintenance.
I sure do hope it works. I only have thirty pill, so will have to get it refilled, although it says no refills. We will cross that bridge when we get to it. Now you all pet your pets and have a great day, you hear?
