Quotes That Made Me Smile

I was browsing through the internet today and came across these quotes, among others, that made me smile.  So, I thought that I would just put a few of them on my blog today along with a link to where they, and others, can be found.  So, I hope you enjoy them.

The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt. Bertrand Russell

And of course, a list of this kind wouldn't be complete without a quote from Yogi Bera:

OK, I sure hope they also put a smile on your face and make sure you have a great day, you hear?

  1. My step daughter's last name was Browning and she was serious about a fellow whose last name was Gunn. If they had married, she would have been Sara Browning Gunn. Marriage sometimes creates some crazy names.

    1. Glad you liked the names. I did, too. BTW, I didn't see your comment on that posting. If you posted one, it didn't show up.

  3. Hey Dizzy-Dick,

Just dropping in from lil' ol' England. No, not literally.

Nice quotes. Love the Isaac Asimov quote. Of course, Yogi Bera was a baseball player. I'd better go inform Boo Boo.

Have a very nice Labour Day weekend, good sir.

    1. Thanks for dropping in and thanks for the Labor or Labour Day good wishes. Nothing special planned. Being an old guy, rocking in my rocking chair is all the labor I can stand.

  4. While I've never heard of a couple of those folks, it's interesting how what folks say actually says a lot about their personality (or at least what we, the public think they are like).

    1. Yep, and bloggers are no different. We judge the bloggers by the blogs they publish. Sometimes they are quite different in person and sometimes they are exactly like you pictured them.
