This next picture shows the two exploding stars in their home star system.
Another picture (must have been taken at a different light frequency than the one above).
This is the complete star system:
And this shows where the double stars are located within the system:
There, you all got your dose of astronomy for the day. The universe is such a huge and grand place, full of many sights and wonders. Some of which we know about and a lot more that we don't. I hope I got you all wondering about what all is out there in our universe and if there are more than one universe and if there are more than one, if the laws of nature are the same in them all or different in each one. Now, you all have a great day, you hear?
Thanks for the interesting info, buddy. Quite a sight!
ReplyDeleteAll that stuff out there in space interests me as do all the stuff in the microscopic world. Actually, everything interests me, that is what makes life more interesting.
Deletesmall world isn't it
ReplyDeleteYes, very small when compared to all else.
DeleteIs that a triple smile I see?
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to wrap one's brain around the size and power of these things. Amazing universe!
ReplyDeleteYou are right. We hear the statistics and the explanations, but there is no way that we can actually grasp the sizes and the power of those things that go bang in the night.
DeleteThanks, Dizzy. 4 year-old grandson Henry is very interested in stars and space, and loves to look at these types of pics, and then ask questions. Think I'll have to send him up your way for answers soon ~ The kid definitely has a telescope in his future ...
ReplyDeleteKeep in mind that the human eye can not detect the color that long exposure photographs can, so most everything you see through home telescopes are in black and white. Even my big one with the 16 inch diameter only lets me see in black and white except for close things, like the red planted, mars, and the blue planet Neptune. The planets are close enough to see their color through a large enough telescope.
DeleteWow, are those ever some amazing photos. The stars have always fascinated me. Wish I could travel on the Starship Enterprise someday. Oh ya, that is fiction.
ReplyDeleteI am afraid that through the limitations of both time and the speed of light, we will never travel to those far off places. Of course before Columbus sailed to the new world, most Europeans thought it couldn't be done.
DeleteThose photos made me think of the inside of geodes... colors, lights and sparkles... magnificent!
ReplyDeleteNature has provided beauty, both at our feet and way over our heads.
DeleteSent you another email, Are you getting them? Sent one on the 10th too.
ReplyDeleteI replied to the first one and I am now having computer problems. I have the back torn off this lap top and I only turned it on to open the DVD tray so that I could get it completely apart. If you don't see my blog posting tomorrow, you will know I didn't get it working right or I didn't get it back together.
