Wondering About Candy.

I like candy and I bet you like candy, too.  I don't eat a lot of different kinds of candy.  I have two favorite kinds, dark chocolate and sweet and sour candies.  Yum, yum.  No, I don't eat them together.  There are two kinds of sweet and sour candy that I like.  The one I like the best is the SweeTarts that look like pills or lozenges:

And here is the box they come in:

Oh those are so good, but I also buy Mini chewy SweeTarts and they come in a box that looks like this:

These are a lot sweeter than the other style but still have enough tartness to make them irresistible, at least to me.  I just love both styles, they seem to satisfy my deep down cravings. . .

And then there is chocolate.  I am not a big fan of regular chocolate and I do not care for white chocolate at all, but I sure do love the Special Dark Chips:
In fact, I have a mouth full of these chips right now, and boy are they good, good, good.

And it comes in bars, too, which I also love:

I also buy these:

That is about the extent of my regular candy eating.  Now tell me, what are your favorite candies?  Don't be bashful, we all like some kind of candy whether sweet or sour or dark or white or. . . Now, treat your sweet tooth to something it is craving and have a great day, you hear?

    1. When I was a kid, I cut Three Musketeers in thirds, put them in the freezer, and enjoyed a cold one each night (for three nights). And Kisses, yes, love them, too. But my wife doesn't let me eat a lot of candy and sugar and such.

  2. I've never been much of a candy eater, but when I quit smoking the first time I did it with Sweet Tarts. Once in a while I like a York Peppermint Pattie or a square of dark chocolate.

    1. Sweet Tarts are a good substitute for smoking and it was great they helped you quit puffing on those tobacco burning cylinders.

  3. Ok DD, I'm on to you. You just chose this subject so you could go out and buy a bunch of candy didn't you? LOL I like sweetarts myself, but I differ on the dark chocolate. Don't like that stuff at all and don't like the white chocolate either. I usually buy M&M peanuts or Meant, but as of late the little store out this way carried cherry mashes and I do buy them from time to time.

  4. Gimme a dark chocolate Kit Kat bar. Did you dress up like Santa Claus and go trick or treating to 're-supply your candy stash? I went as a cantankerous old man.

    1. I am a cantankerous old man, so you dressed up like me? No, we decorated the RV and had our step-grandkids come up and go through it. I made a post about it. It was fun, now we will have to un-decorate it.

  5. Chocolate, especially any dark chocolate. Mounds is a treat. I like sweet tarts, but if there is chocolate around, chocolate wins.

    1. I would be hard pressed to say which I like the best. Of course, it is which ever I have in my mouth at the time.

  6. There is Dark Chocolate and then there is Dark Chocolate.

That Hersey's Special Dark Mildly Sweet bar is 41g with 21g of sugar.

I buy different brands of dark Chocolate but never less than 80% cacao. What I have on hand now is Ghirardelli Intense Dark Midnight Reverie 86% cacao a 90g bar with 10g of sugar. There are 8 squares in each bar and I eat two of them every day with my dessert.

I also keep Baker's Unsweetened Baking Chocolate 100% cacao on hand and always add 1oz to a pot of Chili that I make about every six weeks (I need to cook up a batch).

  7. Just give me some old fashioned milk chocolate. I do love the white chocolate as well, but the regular is good for me!

    1. It seems we all have a sweet tooth but the way we appease it may differ from person to person.
