Wondering how she does it all

If you have been following my blogs, you know that my wife is a very special person and she is also a person who loves art and likes to create beauty in many and varied ways. Here are two of my old posts that showed some of her art and crafts:

These two blog posts only show a fraction of what all she has done. Well, just this week she tried something brand new to her. She decided to start making paper flowers. When she suggested it, at first, I was not impressed. I imagined a flower shape cut out of paper and sort of shrugged. Wow was I surprised when I saw the first few that she made. I could not tell if they were real or paper. Here is a picture of the first ones she made:

She also made the flower pot out of an old tin can.  Talk about recyling, my wife sees art in everything, even things most people just toss into the trash or discard.  I guess that is why she loves going to the Flea Market so much.

She is such a talented lady and I am proud that she is my wife.  Well, got to get a verse ready for today’s card.  We are also going to send that bouquet to my Aunt.  Hope our efforts to keep my Aunt’s spirits up are working since she was moved into a nursing home.  I talked to her a few days ago and she does still seem to be in good spirits.  It is hard to get a good woman from the “old” school in bad spirits just because life is not treating her too well at this point in time.  The younger generations could learn a lot about life if they took the time to watch and listen to the ones left of my Aunt’s generation.  I, for one, have great respect and awe of most of them.

HJ, They are beautiful and the picture does not do them justice. Neither you nor I could guess what she may get into next.

Ben, I guess nothing should surprise me anymore, but she always manages to just do that.
