Roses are red, . . .

Yesterday was dog grooming day.  Anymore it is more like dog washing day, since only the male still has his full coat of hair.  The two females had been shaved in the past and it takes a long, long time for their coat to reach its full length.  The groomer also has a large kennel with a small, older mobile home (trailer) that he uses for grooming purposes.  At the corner where his wooden privacy fence connects to this "grooming" trailer, there is a beautiful rose bush just full of red roses.  So, I thought that this morning I would share these beauties with you.  I don't think that they need any further explanation, so here they are:

I sure hope they brightened up your morning.  Don't forget that you can click on any picture and it will enlarge it.  I sure hope these roses brightened up your morning and now you all have a great day, you hear?

    Howdy DD,
THANK YOU, FOR THE BEAUTIFUL ROSES!!! WE 'LOST' ALL OF OUR BUSHES TO THE DROUGHT; THE LAST ONE DIED THIS WINTER.. WE ALSO 'LOST' OUR FRUIT ORCHARD, WHAT YARD GRASS WE HAD AND SEVERAL OLDER MESQUITE TREES... THERE IS A WATER SHORTAGE OUT HERE AND THE RATES ARE SO HIGH WE CAN'T AFFORD TO WATER HORSES AND PLANTS!! TELL BB THAT HE DESERVES LOTS OF COMMENTS, BUT HE CUT SOME FOLKS OFF...

    1. If BB cut you off it may have been because you type all Capital letters.

  2. Those roses are gorgeous. Unfortunately I have a brown thumb and have never been able to grow any of my own :-(

  3. Butterbean, There has been a lot stuff die off around here because of the drought. This fellow takes good care of that rose bush, even plants fish under it for fertilizer. Were you one of the ones he cut off?

MsB, I suppose most folks who live in the desert have a brown thumb (grin).

  5. Very Red Rose, you don't even see any leaf spot. I'd say that guy knows what he's doing. I thought they only grew yellow roses in Texas??

  6. Sixbears, I smell the roses and look for the little things that most miss.

Jimkabob, Once the summer hits and things warm up, everything turns yellow. . . .

  7. That could be the Mr. Lincoln variety. My rose gardens were great fun back when a house owned me.

  8. Barney, I could not tell you the name of any rose. I just call them "red" roses. (grin). I will look that up to satisfy my curiosity and to stop me from wondering.
