Wandering through Wal-Mart's Flower Garden.

The day before yesterday, we were in Wal-Mart getting some supplies.  Of course we always wander all over the store before we head for the grocery department to replenish and restock our refrigerator and cupboards with food and other supplies.  And as usual, we forgot a few things so yesterday we went to Kroger's.

While we were in Wal-Mart, I wandered through their flower garden.  Well, it isn't actually a garden; forgive me for taking poetic liberties.  Yeah, I know, it ain't no poem.

Here are a couple of pictures that I took.  To me, something doesn't seem right.  First, take a look at the pictures:

And from another angle:

To me, some of those flowers seem to have unusual colors.  When was the last time you walked through the woods and saw all these colors, except for the fall when there are colored leaves mixed in with the late blooming wild flowers?  Actually, they do brighten up that corner of the store.

If you were expecting part 2 of yesterdays blog, that will be posted tomorrow.  Just thought I would separate it with this posting just to keep you on your toes.  Now, I hope these flowers brightened up your day.  I sure want you all to have a great day today, you hear?

  1. Those flower areas of any department or food store always act like a magnet to me. I just can't keep myself away.

  5. Those flowers remind me of a grade school class... we put food coloring in water... then put cut the stems from (I think) carnations... set them in the water and they sucked up the colored water and turned that color. Also did this with celery.... I think we were learning about osmosis. But truth is I kinda like things natural.

  6. Joe surprised me by bringing home a wee floral arrangement of VERY colorful flowers. The next day, the water in the vase was PURPLE. All they have to do is place the cut flowers in died water, and B00M! Ya got crayon flowers!

  7. H.J., Right, what the heck was thinking when I didn't get any.

The Odd Essay, They well suck up whatever is in the water. I am like you, prefer natural.

Lotta Joy, I bet that was a surprise. I didn't know it worked backwards like that. There, I learned something else today.
