I use the pictures for reference and to get the colors correct.

The table just holds my paint, brushes, etc. I so use an easel.

Thanks for stopping by.Dizzy-Dickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14150939928800538404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3297986341537650775.post-38752010447542323422011-01-05T20:20:31.261-06:002011-01-05T20:20:31.261-06:00I remember seeing some of those old ruins down Ter...I remember seeing some of those old ruins down Terlingua way. The road from there to Presidio is spectacular.
I think you need a bigger table, or maybe an easel?
Are you doing this painting from memory, or do you have a picture to copy?
Happy Painting, Penny, TXLakeConroePenny,TXhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00260039376684295639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3297986341537650775.post-44323417930122462072011-01-05T13:10:06.566-06:002011-01-05T13:10:06.566-06:00Fran, Oil paint is the easiest and you can do more...Fran, Oil paint is the easiest and you can do more with it, acrylic is next in line, and I think water colors are the hardest. Thanks for your kind comment.

Ben, I, too, can draw flies, and it don't need to be that warm. You know the last two nights the low was 60 degrees here? I am not an artist, I just play at it. I am not even in the ball park with "good" artists. I like paintings that look like photographs. I mean, realistic.Dizzy-Dickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14150939928800538404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3297986341537650775.post-79869397878718577852011-01-05T12:09:52.291-06:002011-01-05T12:09:52.291-06:00I agree with frann. Now I do appreciate art and have voluntarily gone to art shows and museums. There is one painting I stood and looked at for what seemed hours, it was a simple painting of an ole Dutch Gentleman, The more I looked the better it got.. Heck you could even see the gold flecks reflected in his eyes. and the pours in his skin.
Art truly is in the eye of the beholderBen in Texashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09068952818736489066noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3297986341537650775.post-23835105481773241532011-01-05T11:46:14.955-06:002011-01-05T11:46:14.955-06:00I wonder did Leonardo da Vinci have such problems....I wonder did Leonardo da Vinci have such problems.
